Hi
Great response to the Winter Camp - so far we have 25 people coming - either camping or staying in the pub.
I have booked 11 sites at the Tyalgum campground - if anyone else who hasn't already told me is thinking of coming - can you let me know asap. Plugger and I are probably going to go up on the Thursday and anyone is welcome to join us. There is another large group camping at the camp site at the same time - but it is a big site.
A provisional program is:
Friday:
Meal at the pub - we have a table booked for 20-24 people from 6:30pm. Food is only served until 7:30pm. Standard pub fare - menu attached. The pub is close to the camp site - across the oval.
Saturday:
Morning - free - coffee at Flutterbies or the General Store. Possible excursion to the Pinnacles.
Hash walk/run(?) leaving by car from the camp site at 1:00pm. Brummies Lookout is in Wollumbin National Park - the start is about a 15 minute drive from the campsite. The walk is about 8-9km return. Some clambering over rocks - but stunning views. Plugger and I did it in just under 2½ hours. We will need to leave early for the walk as we won't want to be out in the dark.
Evening - barbecue dinner at the camp site. You provide your meat of choice and Hash (courtesy of Tyalgum General Store) will provide salads and bread. There are no barbecues at the camp site - so please BYO barbecue if you have one. Also be prepared to share it. There are barbecues however at the park near Flutterbies which we could use. Non campers will need to bring their own chairs, crockery and cutlery. I am sure there will be enough tables to share.
We will have a fire - in a drum - Plugger and I can bring some timber - but all contributions welcome.
Sunday:
As you like - we have a few other walks we can do - but we can decide on the day.
Other than the salads on Saturday night - it is BYO everything else - eg booze etc. Pub dwellers may need to consider breakfast?
Hope this all makes sense - any questions - feel free to ask

(Procol's business) Please bring a chair
Hi,
Seems I have caused some confusion about the cost of winter camp. The rates I put in the flyer (camping - $20 per couple; pub - $80 per double) were per night - not the total for the Friday and Saturday night.
Hope this won't put anyone off coming.
